When will the BSG Campus take place?

The BSG Campus will take place from 21 to 29 January 2021. The content is accessible on demand for four weeks post-event. Registration is open now and further details can be accessed on the registration page.

I will not be available during 21 – 29 January 2021. Will I still be able to access the online conference content?

Yes, the content will be available from 21 – 29 January as per programme schedule for all registered participants and then accessible on demand (whenever required) for four weeks post event.  All live activities will be recorded for later viewing but you will still be required to register. 

Will I receive CPD points for attending BSG Campus?

Yes, up to 27 CPD points will be awarded by the Royal College of Physicians, the platform will close on 26 March and CPD points will be calculated and certificates sent within two weeks. You will receive a copy of your CPD certificate if you have completed the post-event survey.

What do I need to attend BSG Campus?

To attend you will need: 
• A valid registration 
An internet connection: broadband wired or wireless  
• PC, Mac, tablet or smartphone: we recommend you use a PC or Mac. If you participate using a tablet or smartphone, some of the break-out and networking features may have limited functionality, although watching sessions will work just fine.  
• Webcam and microphone: we recommend using a headset with a built-in microphone 
• The latest version of your preferred web browser: to make use of all the features in the online conference platform, use we recommend you use Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Edge. Please ensure you are using the most current version of your browser. The conference platform is very new and will not operate in older browsers.

What are the registration fees for BSG Campus?

What does the registration fee include?

The registration fee includes:

Access to 40+ live and on demand sessions
Access to 45+ hours of conference live and on demand content
Access to the poster gallery featuring 445+ scientific posters
Meet with industry in the virtual exhibition
Network and connect through the online attendee hub
Post event access to session videos for four weeks post event

Your delegate pass will only allow you to access the digital meeting platform and cannot be shared with colleagues or anyone else.

When will I gain access to the virtual platform?

All attendees will receive access to the virtual platform on 18 January 2021, this will be sent to you via email, if you have any questions please contact [email protected].

Conference Programme

 

When will the programme be available to view so I can plan my attendance?

The programme can be viewed here. Delegates will be able to access the virtual platform to view the papers, posters, and the interactive schedule from 18 January 2021. All live content will be available once the conference starts on 21 January 2021.

Will the sessions be interactive? Will there be Q&A?

Live sessions provide the option for participants to interact with the session’s presenters via the Q&A text box available on the session page. The Q&A is only visible while the session is live (please refer to the session schedule available from 18 January 2021). This option will no longer be accessible after the session has ended. However, you will be able to view the video recording of the questions that were asked during the live session.

Posters hosted within the poster gallery will allow for participants to post questions to authors throughout the event.

Will presentation slides be made available after the event?

Presentation slides will be available to download within each session, you can access a copy of the slides by clicking on the ‘session information’ section within each session.

Virtual Platform

 

Will there be an exhibition?

Yes there will be an online exhibition allowing attendees to interact with exhibitors via chat and video. Exhibitors will present new technical developments and products. The Exhibition area will be available in the online conference platform from 18 January 2021.

Can I connect with other attendees?

Yes you will be able to connect with fellow attendees via the platform in the attendee hub where you can interact via online chat, online meetings and 1-2-1 video calls.

Can I access the platform with a smart phone?

The best experience will be provided on a laptop or desktop using Chrome or Firefox browsers. You can use a mobile device, however some functionalities may be limited because of the screen size. We encourage to use a computer. If you opt to use a mobile device, ensure you are on strong Wi-Fi connection, as mobile phone networks are likely not going to have the required internet speed to handle video streaming.

Technical Issues

We want to make your experience as smooth as possible so if you have any issues accessing the platform please email [email protected]. If you experience issues when using the platform please contact the event team through the helpdesk function on the platform.

How can I give feedback?

We would love to hear your feedback, you will be able to provide individual session feedback via the virtual platform. We will also send out a post-event survey on 29 January, you will receive your CPD certificate on completion of the survey.

Do I need to register for BSG Campus?

Yes, a personalised invitation has been emailed to you to enable you to register for the event, the deadline to register to confirm your participation is 25 November 2020. If you haven’t received an email or have any issues please contact [email protected].

Will I receive training on how record and submit my presentation?

Yes, you will receive comprehensive information explaining how to record and submit your presentation and slides for inclusion on the virtual platform.

What is the deadline to submit my presentation/poster?

The deadline to submit all posters, videos and presentation slides is Wednesday 9 December 2020. You should have received email instructions explaining how to submit. If you have not received an email please contact [email protected].

I am taking part in a live Q&A session will I receive training on how to use the virtual platform?

Yes, chair, moderator and presenter training will take place in the two weeks prior to the event, you will receive an email with further details as to when these sessions will take place. If you are unable to attend a live session, a pre-recorded instructional video will also be made available.
